What are you reading Monday!!!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

Book Journey hosts this weekly meme loves being a part of it! So do I! As part of this weekly meme she encourages us to go and visit the others participating in this meme. She offers a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment. You receive one entry for every 10 comments, just return to Book Journey and tell how many you visited in the comment area.

This week I've done really well for me. I finished 2 books and 1 audiobook:

I finished "The Cricket on the Hearth and other stories" by Charles Dickens,

and "A Redbird Christmas" by Fannie Flagg.

I also listened to:

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K. Rowling.

This week, I plan to finish:
"The Time of the Doves" by Merce Rodoreda, and

the book on tape: "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" by J.K. Rowling.

Next, I plan to continue with the Harry Potter series on tape and read:

"Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt for my book club selection. We are each reading a biography, autobiography or memoir for this month.

So, that's it! What are you reading today? Leave me a comment...

Do you re-read it or this is the first time for you to read it?

  6. You're reading some well-known books and all very good, I think.

I'm trying to get my to be read pile down and read just from that at the moment. Right now, a Dutch book by my favorite writer. And a USA southern story on my iPod (e-book).

  8. I still need to read HP. I haven't read them. I know, shame on me. My older sister has all the books, so I hope I can read them all very soon.

  9. I try to read a variety of books. My daughter, who is working on her doctorate in Spanish literature, bought me The Time of the Doves for Christmas. I just finished Fortunata & Jacinta by Benito Perez Galdos, so this little book is quite a bit different. Something about the way it is written makes it read very quickly. I like it.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who hasn't read all of the Harry Potter books until now. My younger daughter has all the books on her bookshelf so I could read them anytime, but I really like listening to Jim Dale tell the story.

Thank you all for stopping by...come back soon!

  14. I can't believe I've never read Angela's Ashes...one of those modern classics. My daughter started Harry Potter this year...I've loved seeing her reaction to the marvel of this series...it's like reading it again for the first time!

  15. You will love Angela's Ashes. Little fact, when I was reading this book I was telling my grandmother about the story and she said "do you mean Angela? I remember her bringing the childen to the park in our neighborhood". My Dad was born/raised in Brooklyn, Frank lived close by. WOW!

    Have a great week!

  18. I've heard HP is really good on audio. I just wanted to read them the first time around cause I miss too much on audio, but maybe after I have them all read then I'll try them out on audio.
I've seen the Angela's Ashes movie but I really should read the book, I bet it's way better!

  19. I thought Redbird Christmas was a book written in the true Christmas spirit -- not a typical Christmas read. I really liked it.

I finished HP & the Chamber of Secrets this afternoon and I'm on to the Prizoner of Azkaban!

With all the comments on Angela's Ashes, I can't wait to start it...ooohh but I have to finish The Time of the3 Doves first. It's going well.
