Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list!!

The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get over 200 links every week!!

Check out the rules on Crazy for Books. Post about the Hop on your blog! Spread the word about the book party! The more the merrier! Each week bloggers answer a different question to help us get to know each other better. This is the question of the week:

TELL US ABOUT THE BOOK YOU ARE CURRENTLY READING!

I just finished "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson. It was a page-turner, but it was also disturbing. It made me want to round up my children, especially my daughters, and keep them near me so they wouldn't be prey for sadistic men who like to kill women. Of course, I can't do that because my daughters are old enough to fend for themselves... Anyway, I did like the book. I read the last 300 pages in one afternoon. So, if you like suspense and mysteries, you would definitely like this book. The character of Lisbeth Salander impressed me very much. She was a victim of abuse as a child, but she struggled to survive and used her gifts to become the best researcher Mikael Blomkvist ever met. She definitely had some quirks and creative ways of paying jerks back for their behavior. But, as great as that seems, I most likely won't be reading the other two books in the series - just too disturbing.

  8. Hi. I found you on the hop and stopped in to browse your blog. We have some books in common. I absolutely loved "The Glass Castle", although it made me angry that any mother could neglect her children like that. It's an amazing story and it ended up on my list of best books ever.
    Nice to meet you,
    Dianne

  10. Hi, I'm a new follower.

I thought the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was a bit disturbing as well. I'm reading The Ice Princess now, another Swidish novel and it seems to me that the Swedes really have a problem with domestic abuse and drinking too much coffee.

Anyway - here is my review: http://manoflabook.blogspot.com/2010/07/book-review-girl-with-dragon-tattoo-by.html
